Thai Basil Beef

Ingredients

Beef Stir-Fry

Extra lean ground beef 11 oz 320g
Fresh basil, stems removed 1 cup 30g
Garlic, finely minced 3 cloves 10g
Thai red chilis, finely minced 1-3 1-3
Low sodium soy sauce 2 tbsp 30ml
Raw organic honey 1 tbsp 15g

To Assemble

Cooked jasmine rice, divided 1½ cups 200g
Sunny-side up eggs 2 2
Chili crisp oil (optional) to taste to taste

Instructions

  1. Season and cook ground beef in a greased pan over medium-high heat for ~6 minutes, stirring occasionally before letting it sit slightly to darken/crisp up.
  2. Push beef to the side, then add soy sauce, honey, garlic, and chilis. Sauté for ~1 minute, until lightly browned and fragrant.
  3. Remove from heat and add basil, stirring until lightly wilted (~1 minute).
  4. Serve over jasmine rice and top with a sunny-side up egg. Enjoy!
